HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR RAMLAN KIMIN JOINED FEW OTHER AMBASSADORS OF MUSLIM COUNTRIES IN CARACAS, IN A RALLY ORGANIZED BY HOST COUNTRY, TO CONDEMN ISRAELI AGGRESSION AGAINST PALESTINE, 6 JANUARY 2009
At the invitation of the Ministry of Internal Relations and Justice of Venezuela, His Excellency Ambassador Ramlan Kimin attended on 6 January 2009, a Rally jointly organized by the Ministry of Internal Relations and Justice of Venezuela and the Association of the Muslim World League in Venezuela, held at Sheikh Ibrahim Mosque in Caracas, to condemn the series of Israeli ground and air strikes against Gaza in Palestine which began on 27 December 2008.
Other Heads of Mission from Muslim countries invited and attended the Rally, with an audience of almost 1,000, mostly the Muslim minority in Venezuela, were those from Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iran, Algeria, Iraq and Libya. From host country, Foreign Minister, Minister of Internal Relations and Justice and Speaker of the National Assembly attended the Rally. The Rally was held just a couple of hours after President Hugo Chavez made an official announcement to expel the Israeli Ambassador and part of its personnel at the Embassy, from Caracas.
Speaking on behalf of President Hugo Chavez, Foreign Minister Maduro reiterated Venezuelan Government’s position by condemning Israel and expressing horror at the death of innocent women and children – a result of the invasion by Israeli troops in Gaza and the continual aerial and ground bombardment systematically launched by the State of Israel on the Palestinian Territory. He also reiterated that, at this tragic and indignant hour, the People of Venezuela manifests its unrestricted solidarity with the heroic Palestinian people; share the pain that has overcome thousands of families for the loss of their loved ones; and standing with them, the Venezuelan government affirms that it will not rest until those responsible for these criminal atrocities are severely punished.
Following to this Rally, a series of other rallies and demonstrations continued to be held all over Venezuela with the involvement of Venezuelan politicians to demonstrate Venezuela’s strong solidarity with the Muslim World in general and with the Palestinian people in particular and at the same time, to condemn Israel and the US for their atrocities against the Palestinian people.
EL EXCELENTÍSIMO SEÑOR EMBAJADOR RAMLAN KIMIN SE REUNIÓ CON ALGUNOS OTROS EMBAJADORES DE PAÍSES MUSULMANES EN CARACAS, EN UN MITIN ORGANIZADO POR EL PAÍS ANFITRIÓN, PARA CONDENAR LA AGRESIÓN ISRAELÍ CONTRA PALESTINA, EL 6 DE ENERO 2009
Por invitación del Ministerio del Poder Popular para Relaciones Interiores y Justicia de Venezuela, el Excelentísimo Señor Embajador Ramlan Kimin asistió el 6 de enero de 2009, un mitin organizada conjuntamente por el Ministerio del Poder Popular para Relaciones Interiores y Justicia de Venezuela y la Asociación de la Liga Musulmana Mundial en Venezuela, celebrada en la Mezquita Ibrahim Sheikh, en Caracas, para condenar una serie de ataques aéreos y en tierra de Israel y los contra Gaza en Palestina, que comenzó el 27 de diciembre de 2008.
Otros Jefes de Misión de países musulmanes fueron invitados y asistieron al mitin, con una asistencia de casi 1000 personas, la mayoría de la minoría musulmana en Venezuela, como Indonesia, Arabia Saudita, Líbano, Irán, Arabia Saudita, Argelia, Iraq y Libia. Del país anfitrión, el Ministro del Poder Popular para Relaciones Exteriores, el Ministro del Poder Popular para Relaciones Interiores y de Justicia y la Presidenta de la Asamblea Nacional asistieron al mitin. Éste se celebró tan solo un par de horas después de que el Presidente Hugo Chávez hizo un anuncio oficial de expulsar al Embajador de Israel y parte de su personal de la Embajada de Caracas.
Hablando en nombre del Presidente Hugo Chávez, el Ministro del Poder Popular para Relaciones Exteriores Nicolás Maduro reiteró la posición del Gobierno venezolano de condenar a Israel y expresando su horror ante la muerte de inocentes mujeres y niños - a raíz de la invasión de las tropas israelíes en Gaza y el continuo bombardeo aéreo y terrestre lanzada sistemáticamente por el Estado de Israel en los Territorios Palestinos. También reiteró que, en esta trágica e indignada hora, el pueblo de Venezuela manifiesta su absoluta solidaridad con el heroico pueblo palestino, compartiendo el dolor de miles de familias por la pérdida de sus seres queridos, y con ellos, el Gobierno venezolano afirma que no descansará hasta que los responsables de estas atrocidades criminales son severamente castigados.
Luego de este mitin, se llevaron a cabo una serie de mítines y manifestaciones en toda Venezuela con la participación de los políticos venezolanos la cual mostraron firme solidaridad con el mundo musulmán en general y con el pueblo palestino, en particular, y al mismo tiempo, para condenar a Israel y los EE.UU., por sus atrocidades contra el pueblo palestino.
