PERWAKILAN and the embassy participated at the school bazaar held at the International School Campo Alegre in Caracas on 16 March 2013. This is an annual event where various embassies set up food stalls and children from different countries participate in the school parade. The Malaysia stall received many visitors who were delighted with the food prepared by the ladies of PERWAKILAN which included spring rolls, curry puffs, fried rice and fried noodles. Items sold at the stall also included Malaysian handicrafts such as brooches, batik, kaftans, key chains, table cloth, costume jewellery and curry powder.
A total of 19 countries participated in this event. The Malaysian group was easily recognized in the ‘parade’ by the glittering bunga manggar and Malaysian costumes . At the end of the fair PERWAKILAN made a donation from the proceeds to the school for its charity projects.
