A Malaysian Food Festival was held at the Eurobuilding Hotel & Suites in Caracas from 19-22 June 2013. The launching of the event was attended by the diplomatic corps, the media, travel agencies and the business community. The food festival was sponsored by Tourism Malaysia with two chefs and many of the special ingredients brought all the way from Malaysia. An array of Malaysian dishes specially prepared by the two Malaysian chefs which included satay, char kue teaw, mee mamak, nasi lemak, nasi ayam, rendang, dhalca, roti canai, rojak, chendol, sago gula Melaka and bubur kacang. This food festival could help to promote an interest for Venzuelan tourists to visit Malaysia especially during Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
