PROMOTION OF MALAYSIA THROUGH PUBLIC DIPLOMACY
The Embassy in Caracas will, for the year 2009, continue its efforts in promoting Malaysia through Public Diplomacy, particularly in providing correct information on Malaysia’s position on domestic and international issues and in keeping the Venezuelan community accurately informed and updated in their understanding of Malaysia, its institutions and policies.
To this effect, visits, lectures, talks and presentations will be made by the Ambassador or representative to/at various institutions, agencies, and organizations in Venezuela, such as universities, secondary schools, municipalities, etc.
At the same time, efforts to promote Malaysian tourism amongst the Venezuelans will also be increased, and on the basis of “If they do not come to us, we will go to them”, the Ambassador or representative will reach out the relevant agencies and tour operators in Venezuela, aimed at making presentation on Malaysian tourism and encouraging Venezuelans to visit Malaysia.
