Perwakilan Caracas together with the Home Based Staff made a visit to the Mother Teresa Charity Home in Catia la Mar, Venezuela on 6 February 2012. The visit took 2 hours by car from the city to reach the home. There are seven Mother Teresa Charity Homes in Venezuela.

This Charity home is a shelter for 18 disabled children ranging from 3 to 20 years old.  All the children are unable to walk and rely on someone to help them to live.  Most of the children have been abandoned by their families.

Perwakilan Caracas contributed items such as diapers, fruits, liquid detergent, milk and other food items for the use of these children.  The members of Perwakilan also cooked  Malaysian  food for the sisters who run this Home.   This Home is operated by 11 sisters  which originate from Venezuela, India, Mexico, Peru and Italy.  This charity home had been established since 1977 and the sisters welcome contributions in Kind to help in the running and upkeep of the children.
