The Consulate General of Malaysia organized a Bowling Competition for the Malaysian Community residing in Guangdong in conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara 2016. The event was held at the Tian He Sports Centre in Guangzhou, China on Saturday, 8 October 2016.
2. The event was also part of the Program Mendampingi Rakyat Malaysia (PMRM) aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a closer ties among Malaysians and their family members. There were three categories being competed and the top three winners of each category were presented with medals and trophies as their winning prize.
3. A total of 50 participants including 10 children took part in the competition while another 25 Malaysians came as spectators and to provide support to the players. The organizers also prepared some light refreshment such as nasi lemak, popia, sandwiches, teh tarik and drinking water for the occasion. The event which started at 10.00am ended around 1.00pm.
