4,528,000 tourists visited Yunnan during Spring Festival Holiday Revenue from tourism exceeded RMB1.6billion, up 23.98%

The Spring Festival tourism work of YunnanProvince ended by yesterday, and all tourism economic quotas saw big growth rates.
 
During the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, the province received a total amount of tourists of 4,528,000 person-times, rose by 18.64% year-on-year; tourists who made a stay in Yunnan were 1,119,200 person-times and with a year-on-year growth of 11.75%; the number of one-day-visit tourists is 3,409,400 person-times, climbed by 21.09% compared with the same period of last year. The whole province earned a revenue of RMB1,658,450,000, and jumped by 23.98% year-on-year.
 
The 23 major scenic spots in Yunnan received tourists of 841,500 person-times within the seven-day holiday, increased 4.47%; among these scenic spots, Jiulong Waterfall in LuopingCounty received the largest number of tourists, which reached 98,800 person-times. Others including StoneForest, Kunming Expo Garden, Yunnan Nationalities Village, Yulong Snow Mountain of Lijiang, Puzhehei of Qiubei County and Ancient Alu Cave of Luxi County also welcomed arrivals of 50,000 person-times.
 
 Looking at the 16 prefectures and cities in the whole province, traditional tourism destinations are still Kunming, Lijiang, Dali, Diqing, BaoshanDehong, Honghe and Xishuangbanna, and visitors are still increasing. Tourists visited Kunming, Dali and Xishuangbanna kept on increasing, which have reached 207,000 person-times, 120,900 person-times and 88,500 person-times respectively, with a year-on-year jump of 17.1%, 60.5% and 93.26%.
 
The passengers’ transportation department also made timely adjustment for satisfying tourists’ demand. The civil aviation put 4533 flights into use, which was 1170 flights more than the same period of last year, added 20 new flights; a total number of 476,500 person-times of passengers were transported and raised 93,600 person-times. The railway stations put 428 train-times into use, increased 13 train-times, added 36 new train-times; the stations transported 822,800 person-times, up 561,100 person-times compared with the same period of last year.
