Malaysia Association of Sichuan (MASC) hosted the 60th National Day Reception on the evening of 16 September 2017 at Shangri La Hotel in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Nearly 200 guest comprised of local government leaders and officials, members of ASEAN Consular Corps, Malaysia citizens and friends of Malaysia enlivened the event which lasted nearly two hours.
Consul General Malaysia YBhg. Dato' Siow Chen Pin in his welcoming speech thanking all the guests for attending the event and wished for the close friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and China would be further strengthened for the betterment of both nation.
A special live perfomance by Malaysia children and screening of promotional video "Visit Malaysia" won a big applause from the guest. Varieties of Malaysian dishes were served and lively event ended at 8.00pm.
