On 24 January 2026, Malawakil Kunming, in cooperation with MIDA Guangzhou, Malaysia-China Industrial & Commerce Association (MCICA), Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Business Confederation and Yunnan Chambers of Commerce & Industry Associations, organized the China-Malaysia Investment Opportunities Forum & China-Malaysia Legal Services Cooperation Upgrade in Kunming. The event was attended by more than 100 participants from the relevant government departments/ agencies, business associations, law firms and academicians from both Malaysia and China.
The main focus of the forum was to disseminate information on investment opportunities in Malaysia as well as questions related to legal matters both in China and Malaysia.
The forum commenced with the remarks from the Dongwei Beijing HQ Leader, Consul General of Malaysia in Kunming, Consul Investment MIDA Guangzhou, Yunnan Provincial Government representative, Former Special Envoy of Malaysia to China, President of MCICA, Director of LH Yeo & Co, Tongde Group representative and International Strategy Institute (ISI) Malaysia.
