On 31 August 2024, Malaysian Association in Sichuan China (MASC), with the support of Malawakil Kunming and MATRADE Chengdu, organized gathering with Malaysians in Sichuan at the Intercontinental Century City Hotel Chengdu in conjunction with the 67th national day of Malaysia.
The event was attended by more than 100 attendees, consisting of Malaysians and non-Malaysians (mostly are spouse to the Malaysians). For the event, the food was prepared by Chef Chew, a Malaysian chef currently working with Intercontinental Century City Hotel Chengdu.
The event commenced with arrival of guests and remarks by representative of MASC and CG Kunming. Following that, the guests mingled with each other while getting the food from the buffet.
CG Kunming and MATRADE official also took the opportunity to engage with the attendees while exchanging views on the latest policies related to Malaysia, providing advice on consular matters, as well as briefed the concept of Malaysia MADANI. CG Kunming also took the opportunity to encourage Malaysians to register with Malawakil and to keep in touch with Malawakil.
