On 22 July 2020, a meeting that took place at the Crown Plaza Hotel lasted for more than 1 hour with the Director of FAO Kunming (Director Zhang ) in his opening remarks expressed his commitment to further, enhance the cooperation with the Consulate by promoting more interaction not only between officials but also between the people of both sides. Hence, the advancement of partnership within the existing segments of cooperation (economic, education, agriculture & tourism) should be further intensified, while new collaboration including in the new and renewable technology as well as artificial intelligence should be further explored. Director Zhang also commented that the existing cooperation between Kunming and Kuching South under the Friendship Cities initiative has serves not only as a platform to promote people to people and cultural exchanges but also, in the areas of economic as well as tourism cooperation.
