MEETING WITH THE DIRECTOR OF KUNMING MUNICIPAL HEALTH COMMISSION, 2ND MARCH 2021
The said meeting took place at the office of the Director of Kunming Municipal Health Commission with the objective to exchange information about health and safety development relating to COVID-19, while promoting close-cooperation particularly between the Consulate General and the Government of Kunming, as a whole.
Director Ma informed that in Kunming City, there are 31 hospitals with more than 100,000 staff. He added that the Kunming Municipal Health Commission is keen to explore such collaboration while learning with Malaysia, particularly in the areas of gynecology, pediatrics and stem cell development
Besides that, Kunming is also known for its Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) development and initiatives. To this date, there are more than 200 students from Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Canada, USA, Spain, France, Belgium and UK studying at Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine. In this regard, the Kunming Municipal Health Commission welcomes any suggestion or request from the Malaysian side for such cooperation or partnership that would benefit both sides.
