The 9th China-South Asia Exposition and 29th Kunming Import and Export Fair (CSAE) were held from 19-24 June 2025 at Dianchi International Convention Centre, Kunming. The opening ceremony took place on 19 June 2025. The guest country of honor for 2025 CSAE was Sri Lanka while Thailand was the Strategic Partner Country.
The high level dignitaries attending the 2025 CSAE includes, the Deputy Prime Minister of Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam as well as the Speaker of Parliament of Maldives and acting Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan.
The theme for 2025 CSAE was “Unity and Cooperation for Common Development”. Nearly 70% of the event’s 16 exhibition halls are dedicated to specialized sectors, including advanced manufacturing, green energy, coffee, and traditional Cinese medicine.
2025 CSAE was received participation by representatives from 73 countries, regions and international organizations, as well as more than 2,500 enterprises. Malaysia was recorded to have 28 enterprises participating at the 2025 CSAE.
With its focus on the South Asia, two South Asia-themed pavilions with nearly 800 booths were set up, with India and Pakistan each hosting 140 booths. During the 6 days event, nearly 40 economic and trade events took place during the expo, including forums and procurement matchmaking meetings such as China-South Asia Cooperation Forum and United Nations and International Public Procurement South Asian Market Demand Analysis and Project Matching Conference
