On Wednesday, at 11.00 am, the Yunnan Tengyuan Information Co. Ltd visited the Consulate General of Malaysia in Kunming to share their company background and to promote cooperation in the tourism as well as people to people exchange segments.
Mr. Huang, the General Manager accompanied by Mr. Li and Mr. Xing informed the Consul General Faizal Shani that, they are cooperating together with the Yunnan Government for the development of the Yunnan-Go Application that has the support from TENCENT China. For information, the said application is known as a “one-stop-platform” or smart digital tourism gateway that aimed to enhance Yunnan's tourism industry that embedded with such government services with big-data capabilities
The Consul General was made to understand that the said entity is keen to collaborate with the Malaysian side or related entities, for the development of a similar platform for Malaysia’s tourism promotion that useful in attracting more Chinese tourists visiting Malaysia. Hence, Mr. Huang shared their readiness and willingness to explore more by further understand the needs and requirements of the interested parties from Malaysia.
Tourism Director of Malaysia in Guangzhou, Mr. Aaron who participated through an online discussion explained that China is considered an important market for Malaysia in the field of tourism, especially in terms of tourist arrivals, tourist spending, and foreign exchange earner. Hence, such advancement that helps to promote Malaysia becoming one of the most favorite tourist destinations amongst the Chinese tourists should be welcomed and be explored under the agenda of a win-win situation.
