The said visit that took place on Wednesday, 10 March 2021 aims at promoting an exchange of information as well as new-knowledge relating to art, culture as well as preservation.
Director Chen of the Kunming Museum informed that the Kunming Museum is known for its vast collection of Chinese calligraphy on the paper-hand fan as well as a gallery of the First American Volunteer Group (AVG) with the nicknamed the Flying Tigers during World War II to defend China from the Japanese forces.
Known to be one of the tourism cities in the Southwestern part of China, Kunming Municipality is in the planning to upgrade the said museum with new infrastructure including by exhibiting old artifacts or historical items as well as information of arts, culture, and people of Kunming or Yunnan as a whole.
Such areas that could be further explored between Malaysia and Kunming would be the preservation of ancient cities or monuments, exhibition of painting, special clothes, and materials including pottery.
