Ambassador Jojie Samuel hosted an ASEAN Ambassadors and Ambassador of Timor Leste Meeting at the Official Residence on Monday 28 May 2012.The meeting was held as part of monthly activities of the ASEAN Ambassadors Group. Malaysia is the Chairman of the ASEAN Ambassadors Group for the duration of four months starting from February to May 2012.
During the Meeting, Ambassador Jojie Samuel presented the report on the activities carried out during the chairmanship of Malaysia, which included the ASEAN Ambassadors and Ambassador of Timor Leste Meeting (16 February and 28 May 2012), ASEAN Luncheon Talk (22 March 2012) with the topic of “Cuban Domestic Political and Economic”, and ASEAN Family Gathering (28 April 2012). At the end of the Meeting, Ambassador Jojie Samuel handed over the ASEAN Chairmanship to the Ambassador of Indonesia.
Among the guests were ASEAN Ambassadors in Havana (Cambodia [Charge d’ Affairs, a.i], Indonesia, Lao PDR, and Viet Nam), Charge d’ Affairs,a.i of Timor Leste and officials.
