Ambassador Jojie Samuel paid a courtesy call on Mr. Roberto León Richard, Vice-President of National Institute of Sports, Physical Culture and Recreation (INDER) on 23 November 2011.
During the call, issues discussed include sports cooperation between both countries. Malaysia and Cuba have long had cooperation in this area especially in the training of Malaysian athletes and boxers by Cuban trainers.
