On 13 October 2011, Ambassador Jojie Samuel made a courtesy call on Dr. Agustin Lage Davila, the Director General of the Center of Molecular Immunology (CIM) in Havana.
CIM focuses on the research and production of new biopharmaceutical products for the treatment of cancer and other non-transmissible diseases. This cancer research institution is located at the west side of Havana, Cuba.
During the call, the Center conducted a briefing related to the research projects focused on cancer immunotherapy, especially the development of molecular vaccines, and also biopharmaceutical products produced by the Center. At the end of the briefing session, Ambassador Jojie had an opportunity for a short tour of its several research labs.
