REPATRIATION OF THE REMAINS OF A MALAYSIAN WHO PASSED AWAY
IN DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to notify that the remains of the late Thangaratnam Thyagarajah had safely arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Thursday, 29 March 2018 at 8.50 A.M. and was handed over to the family members for funeral arrangements.
The repatriation was successful pursuant to a joint effort by the Malaysian community in UAE; President of Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), Datuk Seri Dr. S. Subramaniam; former MIC President, Tun Samy Vellu; MIC Treasurer General, Dato’ Sri Vell Paari Tun Samy Vellu and President of Persatuan Jalinan Sukarelawan Malaysia, Mr. Isham Jalil; who managed to raise the funds required as well as the necessary consular assistance rendered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Malaysia in Dubai.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveys its deepest condolences and sympathies to the family members and acquaintances of the late Thangaratnam Thyagarajah on the demise of the latter.
