The Chief Minister of Terengganu led a 23 member delegation to Cuba from 11-15 July 2011. The main focus of the visit is to learn and seek for potential collaborations in biotechnology with world renown Cuban biotech institutions. The delegation visited the Western Havana Scientific Cluster particularly the CIGB (Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology), Finlay Institute, LABIOFAM, CIM (Centre for Molecular Immunology) and CNIC (National Centre for Scientific Research). The delegation was received by Mr. Mohd Fareed Zakaria, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy.
