YEMEN’S HOUTHIS MISSILE ATTACKS ON SAUDI ARABIA

On 25 March 2018, Yemen’s Houthis had reportedly fired several ballistic missiles towards Saudi Arabia. However, all were intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi Royal Air Defence Forces. One person was reportedly killed while two were injured caused by shrapnel falling from the sky.
Malaysia condemns the attacks. They are a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and constitutes a grave threat to regional and global peace and security.
Malaysia stands firm in its solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its action to preserve the safety and stability of the Kingdom. Moving forward, Malaysia hopes that the ongoing conflict in the region will be resolved through political and diplomatic channels.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to confirm that thus far, there are no Malaysians involved in the said incident. Malaysians are advised to stay calm and those who require consular assistance may contact it’s Embassy in Riyadh and Consulate General in Jeddah as stated below:-
