On 7 December 2022, the Embassy of Malaysia in Cairo hosted the Aspirasi Malaysia hi-tea as part of its public diplomacy engagement to introduce to the local community in Egypt the experience of Malaysian culture and food. The programme was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Omar Sleim, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Cultural Relations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Egypt, as the guest of honour, along with other senior officials from MFA Egypt, Al Azhar, key players of industries, MTCP Alumni and media practioners. Aside from promoting cultural understanding perspective onto people-to-people relations between Malaysia and Egypt, the programme also symbolised the Embassy’s appreciation and gratitude towards the important stakeholders who have played a pivotal role in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
