Malawakil Cairo was honored to host the inaugural "Discover Malaysia 2026" Business Outreach Programme in Cairo. The programme was organized in cooperation with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Office in Cairo and was officiated by the Deputy Chief of Mission, Rafedah Abdul Aziz.
The initiative aimed to present the investment and trade potential of Malaysian states such as Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu to members of the Egyptian business community.
The programme was well received, drawing the participation of approximately 100 business representatives from a broad spectrum of industries, including food and beverage, chemicals, logistics, and construction. The event also attracted attention from local mainstream and social media, further amplifying its outreach.
Encouragingly, feedback from participants was highly positive. Many attendees engaged directly with the Malaysian delegation to explore potential avenues for collaboration and partnership, reflecting the growing interest in strengthening bilateral commercial ties.
Covering key sectors such as trade, tourism, education, and the halal industry, the programme underscores the shared commitment to further enhancing cooperation and advancing the partnership between Malaysia and Egypt.
