CONTRIBUTION OF BOOKS WORTH OF USD20,000.00 BY THE GOVERNMENT OF
The ongoing effort by the Government of Malaysia to collaborate with the Pacific island states also covers education.
The University of the South Pacific has been identified as an institute to expand knowledge on Malaysia, and the contribution of educational books and ten (10) units desktop computer worth of USD20,000.00 was made by the Government of Malaysia and presented to the University by HE Nafisah Mohamed, the High Commissioner of Malaysia in 2005,.
The Government of Malaysia also contributed a further educational books worth USD20,000.00 on 6 December 2007 to the University of the South Pacific. An official presentation by Her Excellency Dato’ Nafisah Mohamed, the High Commissioner to Mrs. Esther Williams, the Acting Vice Chancellor, University of the South Pacific (USP) was held at 3.30 p.m in the University’s Library .
