As Chair of ASEAN in 2025, Malaysia has identified several priority areas under the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community. This includes Climate Action for Stewardship, Partnership and Ownership. The call for climate action was deeply reflected during the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit on World Environment Day, 5 June 2025 attended by High Commission of Malaysia in Suva.
