The High Commission of Malaysia virtually attended a coordination meeting called by the Fiji National Disaster Management Office and the Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting focused on updates from the Fiji Meteorological Service on the Tropical Cyclone Seasonal Outlook for the 2023-2024 Cyclone Season and a brief update from NDMO Director Ms. Vasiti Soko on our state of preparedness. While there is no risk of tropical cyclone formation for the current week, there is a slightly elevated risk across the western Pacific and Coral Sea for 4-17 February 2024. Malaysians are advised to remain vigilant and follow the latest updates and advice issued by the local authorities.
