210123: The High Commissioner experienced the reunion dinner on the eve of the Lunar New Year with the home based staff (HBS) of the High Commission of Malaysia in Suva, Fiji.
As is customary in Malaysia, it began with the Yeesang toss. Ingredients of the Yee sang include, among others, strips of fish, shredded vegetables, as well as a variety of sauces and condiments. Yee sang has been declared as a Malaysia heritage food by the Jabatan Warisan Negara (Department of National Heritage).
