On 4 September 2025, the Embassy of Malaysia in Astana hosted a reception at the Rixos President Hotel to commemorate Malaysia’s 68th National Day and Malaysia Day.
The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, H.E. Mr. Talgat Lastayev, Vice Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, and attended by more than 200 distinguished guests, including members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, business leaders, academia, media representatives, Malaysian diaspora and friends of Malaysia.
In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah reflected on Malaysia’s journey of unity in diversity, resilience and progress, while underscoring the strengthening partnership with Kazakhstan in trade, investment, education, tourism and the halal industry. He also invited Kazakh friends to discover Malaysia through the upcoming Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign.
The celebration featured Malaysian cultural performances by the Mamlakat Dancers, authentic cuisine, and a showcase of Malaysia’s rich heritage, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and Kazakhstan.
