On 4 December 2025, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli Abdullah met with Mr. Askhat Shakharov, Mayor of the Aktobe Region, on the sidelines of his working visit to Aqtobe in conjunction with the Aqtobe Investment Forum 2025 (4–5 December).
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss avenues for strengthening cooperation between Malaysia and Kazakhstan, particularly in trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
