Courtesy Call by the Managing Director of CLEAR, 9 March 2012

On Friday 9 March 2012, His Excellency Ambassador Ilango Karuppannan received a courtesy call by Mr. Walid Bahsoon, Managing Director at Contaminated Land Environment Remediation Sdn. Bhd. (CLEAR) which is based in Kuala Lumpur.
CLEAR is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Core Competencies Sdn. Bhd. which provides solutions to environmental problems within the core areas such as rehabilitation and continued instrumental monitoring of dumpsites, implementation of new sanitary landfills and pollution prevention through environmental biotechnology.
During the discussion, the Ambassador conveyed to Mr. Walid Bahsoon the interest by the Lebanese government to learn about Malaysia’s solid waste management system. Both sides also exchanged views on the possible strategies to encourage more cooperation between Malaysia and Lebanon in solid waste management.
