Dinner with Malaysian Trade Commissioner to Lebanon at the Residence,

On 26 March 2012, His Excellency Ambassador Ilango Karuppannan and Spouse hosted a dinner for Mr. Amran Yem, Malaysian Trade Commissioner to Lebanon who is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Mr. Amran Yem was in Beirut at the Ambassador’s invitation to join him for trade promotion visit to Tripoli, Lebanon. Mr. Amran was accompanied by Mr. Abdullah Ahmad Commercial officer of MATRADE. The dinner was also attended by Honorary Consul General of Malaysia, Datuk Omar Jundi and his spouse.
During the dinner, both H.E. Ambassador and Trade Commissioner discussed the overall state of bilateral trade between Malaysia and Lebanon. The discussion also touched on the trade activities in the country as well as in the region. They also exchanged views on the possible strategies to promote more trade and investment between the two countries.
