On 16 April 2025, Ambassador Azri met with Lebanon’s Minister of Industry, H.E. Joe W. Issa El-Khoury, to discuss the enhancement of industrial cooperation between Malaysia and Lebanon. The dialogue focused on expanding collaboration in the SME sector and strengthening bilateral commercial relations. A key highlight of the meeting was the proposal to organise future trade visits and business exchanges to identify and pursue concrete trade and investment opportunities.
2. Both sides exchange views on key sectors with high cooperation potential. The discussion paid attention to boosting Lebanese exports to Malaysia as part of Lebanon’s broader strategy to address its trade deficit and efforts to rebalance trade flows between both countries.
