The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of Malaysia, General Tan Sri Affendi Buang recently had a visit to Lebanon. On 21st February 2022, the CDF paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Azri and later on proceed with a courtesy call on his counterpart, General Joseph Aoun of the Lebanese Armed Forces. The visit signifies the close bilateral and military relations between both countries as both sides look forward to strengthening and further enhancing the engagement and cooperation. Malaysia has been sending its battalion to Lebanon as a peacekeeper under the umbrella of UNIFIL since 2007.
