Malaysian youths again braced the rugged Andean mountains with their motorcycle expedition. The team com comprised 14 motorcycles and one (1) 4X4 vehicle from Malaysia. Their adventure started on 4 January 2019 from Cartagena, Colombia before traversing Ecuador and ending in Lima, Peru on 25 January 2019.
The Malaysian adventurers have described their Andean odyssey as breathtaking and wholesome cultural experience of a lifetime. From pristine beaches to the Amazon jungle, through some of the rugged Andes Mountain and scenic volcano sights. Their goodwill expedition has done Malaysia proud in fostering friendship, enriching cultures and promoting understanding between the people of Malaysia and Peru.
At the end of their journey, the Embassy hosted a small reception for them. They shared their stories of adventures in these three countries. When their journey ended in the Embassy of Malaysia (land of Malaysia), they felt like it was homecoming to some familiar faces, cuisines, tastes and people.
