Vice Consul Nurul Ezhar Salehuddin, undertook a 3rd Consular visit to Zamboanga City for three days from 23 to 25 December 2013, respectively. The consular visit was in collaboration with Department of Social Welfare Development Office (DWSD) and Bureau of Immigration (BI) and others Local Government Units (LGUs) in Zamboanga City.
On the first day, the Vice Consul met the Malaysian citizen in the Orchid Garden Hotel to update the latest status of her deportation order. On the same day, Vice Consul also met the head officer from Bureau of Immigration in Zamboanga City to discuss some matters regarding consular cases.
On the second day, Vice Consul went to DSWD office in Zamboanga City to personally assist the Malaysian citizen stranded in detention center of DSWD and give the Emergency Certificate to them depart to Malaysia. On the same day, Vice Consul also visited another Malaysian Citizen at San Ramon Penal Farm to discuss the latest development of his parole application and extend some medicines.
On the last day, Vice Consul departed from Zamboanga City airport to Davao City in the afternoon. The Consular visit in Zamboanga City, although brief, has been successful in enhancing further relations and as well as in assisting Malaysian citizens not only in Davao City but throughout Mindanao.
