The 1st Family Day has been successfully and wonderful family day held last 25 August 2013 In Davao City, Mindanao, Philippines. This whole day event organized by PERWAKILAN DAVAO CITY and Consulate General of Malaysia in Davao City, was attended Home Based Staff (HBS) and their family together with the Locally Recruited Staff (LRS).
In the morning, the group visited Eden Nature’s Park and enjoyed the tour. The area was very conducive for relaxation, the shuttle that tour the group around the man-made forest gave chance to the group to see the natures wonder at close. The park offered a lot of activities like zip line, fishing and horseback riding, the HBS and LRS enjoyed the activities provided by the park.
The group had a lunch break at d’ Leonor Wavepool Resort. The HBS’s children had fun spending their afternoon at the wavepool and other activities that the resort offers. This program aims to promote camaraderie among the Consulate Staffs. Consul General Abdullah Zawawi Tahir emphasized that if the workers are happy, it carries over when they deal with clients, superiors, subordinates and each other, undoubtedly bringing more benefits to the Consulate. The Family Day is a way to support workplace morale, relationship-building and promote camaraderie among the consulate staffs.
