On Monday, 28th April, 2014, Consul General Abdullah Zawawi attended Lunch Meeting with Maybank Philippines President/CEO Hermintio M. Famatigan, Jr., Vice President Vincent S. Bierdan, Davao Branch Manager Annabel M. Piatos, and Remie G. Timbreza, Vice President of Commonwealth Insurance Company to further enhance and explore new business opportunities in the Islamic banking and finance in Mindanao.
During the business meeting, Consul General Abdullah presented a Cotabato City Resolution No.5392 Series of 2013 requesting Maybank Islamic Bhd, Malaysia to prioritize the City of Cotabato, Philippines in its plan to expand banking business in Asean markets.
President/CEO Hermintio welcomed the presence of Consul General and thanked the initiatives to support Maybank activities in Mindanao.
