On April 10, 2010, as part of the Consulate General’s outreach programme, Consul General Mohammad Azhar Mazlan and Madam Amelia Amani, staff members of the Consulate and Perwakilan ladies reached out to the orphaned children of the Reception and Study Center for Children in Davao City.
The aim of the Outreach program was to spend time, personal and material contribution to enhance the development of the children through interactive games, by feeding them and gift giving. The activity brought so much joy to the abandoned and neglected children by their parents under the care of the social workers and volunteers of RSCC. It also received a full-page coverage by the Mindanao Times, local English daily with 20,000 circulations.
