The Hon. Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali Bin Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister of Malaca, Malaysia and wife YBhg. Datin Seri Asmah binti Abdul Rahman accompanied by a 17-members of delegation undertook a working visit to Sultan Kudarat, Philippines on 23 October, 2012. On his arrival at Davao International Airport on 22 October, Consul General Abdullah Zawawi Tahir, Malaysia Embassy in Manila Charge d’ Affaires Mr. Zakaria Nasir & wife and Vice Consul Nurul Ezhar Salehuddin were on hand to receive the Hon. Chief Minister and his delegation. In the afternoon, the Hon. Chief Minister and his delegation proceeded to Sultan Kudarat.
On 23 October 2012, a Conferment ceremony is held in honour of the Honourable Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam for his Ph.D. Degree in Doctor of Humanities (Honoris Causa) and Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam Philippines Inc. (DMDI) Inaugural Ceremony was held at the New Provincial Capitol Building, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. Present in the Ceremony were officials of the Provincial Capitol of Isulan, Sulatan Kudarat led by Hon. Suharto Mangudadatu Al Hadj, Governor, officials of the Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) and Officers, Council Members and Board of Directors of DMDI headed by the President for Mindanao, Philippines Hon. Haji Sultan Omar Pax Mangudadatu-IV, Ph.D. After the ceremony, a luncheon in honour of the Hon. Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam and delegation is hosted by the officials of the Provincial Capitol of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.
The working visit has been successful in strengthening good relationship among the Chief Minister, the Governor of Sultan Kudarat, DMDI Philippines members and the government officials of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.
