On 04 August 2025, the Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh was invited to an event titled "Threaded Tales Weaving Sustainability into the Kadayawan Festival" organized by Park Inn by Radisson Davao. The initiatives, TelaTales, upcycled the hotel's waste into beautiful products such as clothing, headwear, and accessories. The event highlighted the hotel's efforts to manage operational waste and minimize environmental impact.
The event also showcased a unique narrative of culture and creativity through design, while promoting actions taken tp combat environmental harm.
