1st INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF COLEGIO POMPEI, CARACAS, 6 MAY 2007

Colegio Pompei organized the 1^st International Fair on 6 May 2007. The Malaysian ladies prepared a variety of Malaysian food and snacks such as mee goreng, satay, buah melaka and curry puff were sold at competitive prices. Hand crafted batik, silk kaftans, scarfs, and an assortment of handicrafts were put also on display. Perwakilan Caracas also took the opportunity to promote Malaysia as a tourist destination especially with regard to the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign. The Malaysian booth was well patronised as most all the food was sold out before the end of the day. The handicrafts were also well received by the public.

El Colegio Pompei organizó su Primera Feria Internacional el 6 de mayo de 2007. Las damas de Malasia prepararon una variedad de comida típica de su país tal como mee goreng (tallarines), satay (pincho de pollo), buah melada y curry puff (empanadas de papa con curry) que fueron vendidos a precios muy asequibles. También se pudieron apreciar artículos de artesanía de batik, pañuelos de seda Kaftans y otras artesanías típicas. La Embajada de Malasia también aprovechó esta oportunidad para promover a Malasia como destino turístico tomando en cuenta la campaña de Visita Malasia Año 2007. El stand de Malasia fue todo un éxito ya que toda su comida se vendió antes que finalizara el día y la artesanía también tuvo mucha aceptación en el público.
