The Embassy of Malaysia celebrated Malaysia´s 54th National Day and Malaysia Day on 20 September 2011 at the Gran Melia Hotel in Caracas. Invited guests included officials from the government, the diplomatic corp, media and private sector representatives and other close associates. The chief guest for the occasion was His Excellency Temir Porras Ponceleon, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice-Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. The guests were treated to a heafty dinner which included Malaysia food specially prepared for the occasion such as satay, char kuey teow, curry puffs and other traditional Venezuelan food.
