H.E. Ambassador Mahinder Singh met H.E. Xoan Noya Vice-Minister for Asia, Middle East and Oceania on 28 November 2014 to assess the potential of enhancing closer bilateral ties between Malaysia and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Ambassador Mahinder had visited a number of states in Venezuela and was of the view that there was opportunity for Malaysia to share her expertise in the oil palm industry, tourism, the establishment of Free Trade Zones (FTZ) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and collaboration in the higher education sector.
