The Embassy of Malaysia in Caracas organized a get-together at the Chancery on 1 June 2013 for Malaysians residing in Venezuela. The event included fun games, a lunch and ended with a friendly bowling tournament. The activity was attended by home-based families, staff of Petronas from Puerto La Cruz and other Malaysians residing in Caracas. The event began with the singing of the national anthem as the event coincided with the official birthday of His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Ambassador Mahinder Singh gave a short speech to update on latest developments in Malaysia particularly relating to the recent 13th general elections. He reminded all Malaysians to work together to carry the good name of the country while promoting the interests of Malaysia overseas. Everyone enjoyed participating in the team events and the sumptuous lunch cooked by members of Perwakilan.
