An International Fair was held at the Escuela Campo Alegre (ECA) School on  24 March 2012.   This school fair is held yearly.  Malaysia had not participated at this fair since 2006.  The Malaysian stall was a hot favourite with the visitors.  Food prepared by the ladies of Perwakilan included freshly fried spring rolls, curry puffs, samosas, fried rice noodles and banana fritters.   Handicrafts such as brooches, batik kaftans, key chains,  scarfs, selendang and costume jewellery which were also sold.   For the parade, the Malaysian participants (including local staff at the Embassy) wore traditional clothes and depicted a Malay wedding couple.  Children were attracted to the “spin and paint” corner which was part of the Malaysian  booth.  Some of the proceeds from the sale was donated to the ECA fund for charity projects.
