YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs Malaysia accompanied by Datin Sri Siti Rubiah Datuk Abdul Samad and senior officials undertook a working visit to Venezuela from 26 to 27 August 2015. YB Foreign Minister was on a tour to a number of countries in the region after attending the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) 7th Foreign Ministers’ Meeting which was held in Costa Rica.
During the visit to Caracas, YB Foreign Minister paid a courtesy call on his counterpart, Her Excellency Delcy Rodriguez who also hosted a luncheon for the delegation. During the meeting, both sides agreed to further expand bilateral collaboration in various areas identified such as the oil palm-based industry, agriculture, oil and gas, infrastructure development, and tourism. He also met with His Excellency Eulogio del Pino, Minister of Petroleum and Mining and Her Excellency Isabel Delgado, Minister of Commerce.
