BOMB ATTACK IN GAZIANTEP REPUBLIC OF TURKEY 20 AUGUST 2016
The Government of Malaysia strongly condemns the bomb attack that took place in Gaziantep, Republic of Turkey on 20 August 2016, which killed 51 people and injured 94 others.
The Government of Malaysia expresses its deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Turkey and to the families and victims affected by the attack.
Malaysia regards this incident as an atrocious act of terrorism and hopes that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
Even though Gaziantep is not a popular location for Malaysian tourists, Malaysian citizens residing and travelling to Turkey are advised to refer to the safety guidelines published in the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia.
