On 22 August 2025, the Embassy opened its doors as a bridge of understanding, hosting students from the Luminary Institute for a cultural and educational visit. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Mr. V.A. Chikanda, Chief Executive Officer of the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy (ZID). Additionally, Mr. Aniff M. Fauzi CDA a.i, delivered an engaging presentation on Malaysia’s vibrant culture, captivating tourism landscapes and diverse educational opportunities. From the interactive video screening presentation, followed a dynamic question and answer segment during which students received tokens of appreciation for their insightful responses. Afterwards, Embassy staff immersed the students in traditional Malaysian games, guiding them through the spirited teamwork of Sepak Takraw and the focused motions of Batu Seremban (five stones). In conclusion of this richly layered cultural experience, a shared luncheon was served where guests savoured the authentic flavours of Malaysian chicken rice and refreshing fruit cocktails. Beyond mere hospitality, the event ultimately served as an impactful platform to deepen awareness of Malaysian heritage while simultaneously forging stronger cultural and educational ties between Malaysia and Zimbabwe.
