LAUNCH OF BALLISTIC MISSILE BY THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF KOREA ON 15 OCTOBER 2016
Malaysia condemns the test launching of an intermediate-range ballistic missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on 15 October 2016. The launch of such a missile is another blatant violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions and seriously undermines the global nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation regime.
Malaysia urges the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to desist from conducting further ballistic missile launches, and to comply fully with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, with a view to achieving lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula and in maintaining international peace and security.
