The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR, His Excellency Saleumxay Kommasith, will be undertaking an Official Visit to Malaysia on 17 March 2017. Lao PDR assumed the chairmanship of ASEAN on 1 January 2016 and building upon the formal establishment of the ASEAN Community on 31 December 2015, Lao PDR’s chairmanship focused on further strengthening the ASEAN Community by implementing the ASEAN Community Vision 2025.
